While everyone else was at the Yelpies, I was at Firehouse Subs. I regret nothing! Okay, I have some regret. I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with Cara O. that you can get a better sandwich at Subway. If that's true, I want to know which Subway she frequents, because... I want to go to there. My last experience at Firehouse was kind of meh, and so I didn't return for quite a while. But after a long day of work, we were feeling too lazy to cook. Also because Tanya G. doesn't understand my fascination with sandwiches so I'm trying to enlighten her in the versatility and deliciousness that one can expect from a well-made sandwich so we've been making the rounds through the (many) sandwich places in the city. Anyway, I figured we could give Firehouse another shot and mother of a freaking goat. The large "Engineer" was a sizable (12-inch) sandwich for $8-something. I split the sandwich with Tanya G. and we were both entirely satiated. Maybe I was all the more impressed because just recently I had a sandwich at Jersey Mike's that was 1/2 the size, 1/4 the bread quality, and 1/6 the flavor, all while being the exact same price. Stupid Jersey Mike's... Firehouse was not chintzy with the sandwich innards this time. In fact the sandwich was stuffed with so much goodness that while we were eating, the shredded turkey & melty cheese was spilling out in big goodnessy chunks. So much goodness. So much. It was a messy sandwich, which may or may not be a good thing depending on whom you ask. Service was excellent as always. The hot sauce selection has declined. Or at the very least, they've removed all of the hot sauces that were ranked 9-10+ spiciness, which was disappointing. Why?! Which one of you jerks complained about the extremely spicy, hot sauces?

Really friendly service and quality food! I am vegetarian and I loved their veggie sub! The meat subs are good according to people I was with.

Excellent both times I've been. Both times I had the meatball and it did not disappoint. They have the fancy new coke machines so that was a nice plus. Friendly service. If you come in at 11:39 during the week, be prepared for a line but no fear...it moves fast.

The sandwiches were better than other sub eateries. The customer service was very good. The food is a little pricey for sub sandwiches ($20 for 2 sandwiches plus drinks.) My kids like the atmosphere and the drinks are great. They have a Hawaiian pork sandwich deal that looks killer..

Great sandwich place! I'm a big fan of local joints, but this spot is as good as they come for a chain restaurant. Good customer service and a different menu than anywhere else in their category. I use to eat at one in Atlanta a lot so I was glad to see one pop up in the OKC Metro. I like the brisket sub or turkey avocado melt. Can't go wrong with either.

GREAT FAMILY CASUAL RESTAURANT! I read on a Birthday Freebies website you get a FREE SUB on your Birthday so I stopped in to pick it up in between other Birthday celebrations. You're supposed to eat it there - so I took a nibble and hung out because the staff was so friendly !! Everyone was devouring their subs on afternoon worker bee lunch breaks. One staff member even told me the whole history of the Firehouse story - fascinating ! and yes Firemen did start this place. That explains why it is so tasty. The atmosphere is clean and bright - red white and black with dalmation patterned tables. At the end of the Sub making station is a large assortment of ALL kinds of unusual hot sauce bottles and it's a great help yourself to want you want to try ! I found a great new hot sauce !! Loved the computerized coke machine where you can make 100 something flavors of soda pop. My sandwich was stuffed full of meat and all the veggies you could ask for on a Sub. Move over Jersey Mike's and Subway.....there's a new kid in town. I have been back there at least 5 times since then and it's been consistently delicious. A little bit more pricey than Subway, but bigger and better !! :) THEY EVEN GAVE ME A RED PLASTIC BIRTHDAY FIREMAN HAT.

I can honestly get the same quality sub at subway for half the price. It is way, way overpriced. I was also disappointed in the fireman decor. They should have put a pole in there somewhere and a big ladder hanging from the ceiling. The best thing they had there was the computerized coke machine where you can like 150 different types of flavors and sodas. Oh, and the people that worked there were really nice but almost overly friendly. We couldn't hardly get out the door. I won't go back. I can get the exact same toasted sub at subway for way less.

It's pretty much Quiznos outfitted as a fire station... I ordered the medium Meatball sub (900 calories). It was decent. A bit too greasy (I know meatball sub...etc) and a bit too much sauce which led to soggy bread. The portion size was good.... couldn't imagine what the large sub would look like. Definitely geared more to guys based on the calories, which is conveniently displayed on their menu. In fact there were quite a few big boies there. My wife was so stunned at the calories of the subs she got a kids meal. I got a cookie which was not freshly made. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. I would go there again to try something different...

Fun firehouse decor, but in the end... It's a sandwich place. I'd stop in again for sure.

Pretty darn good! Firehouse subs has one veggie sub (hot) that consists of your usual sub-veggies (I.e. lettuce, tomato, onions), with the addition of mushrooms and 2-3 types of cheese. For the meat-eaters: Hubby is a big fan of the meatball sub. Tasty food, clean interior, friendly staff, large variety of sandwiches (if you're a carnivore) - Add the super-convenience factor and we've got another fast-food go-to.

This is a lunch favorite for me! The sandwiches are fresh, warm and all around delicious. The sandwiches are probably a few cents more expensive than some comparable places but I think Firehouse is worth it.

Firehouse is a great addition to NW Expressway, which is filled with mostly "meh" fast-food options. The quality is a step up from Subway. It's a place I'd go when I'm feeling sandwich'y and fancy (see: more than $5 to my name). Service: 5 stars. The entire staff, including the manager, were very helpful, friendly, and upbeat. I got there around... oh, Hell, I dunno... late*ish*, so I was surprised that I wasn't greeted by food service zombies. Food: 4 stars. Okay, so it's really hard to wow me with a sandwich. What I got was very tasty, though. The turkey bacon ranch is great and it's likely something I'd get again. Their combos, like many sandwich shops, includes a drink and choice of chips, along with a pickle spear. Of course, I got the salt and vinegar kettle chips. Mmm. As always, I'm amazed by those touch screen pop (yeah, POP, wanna fight about it?) machines with a bunch of choices. Ooo, ahhh. Futuuuuuuure.

I tried Firehouse yesterday for the first time and I'll definitely be back. My son and I tried the Turkey Bacon Ranch and I had the Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket. Both were very good--I liked the Smokehouse Beef best, my son preferred the Turkey Bacon Ranch. Firehouse has nice décor, very clean, and friendly service. Lots of meat on the sandwiches, really nothing negative. Having only been here once it's too early to tell if I like this place better than Jersey Mike's but both are way better than Subway.

Right off the bat, let me say I do not like a 'hot' submarine sandwich - this being said, I finally went back and thought I had found something in their salads that would keep me coming back since i work right next to it. First few times I had their salad's they were quite delicious. Last time, had too many olives (salty), but i picked them out and ate it. Today, i go in before noon, a handful of people are eating already with no one in line and no one waiting on food. I walked up to the lady and ordered a Firehouse salad - and requested crackers to be included. She asked if I wanted everything on my salad, which i replied - no meat. she said OK but do you want everything else? I had no idea these weren't pre-maid, so i said yes, please hold the olives. No problem - paid for the meal and waited while it was made. When they called my name, they were very friendly and the lady stated that she had put in some extra crackers, which I was pleased. Got back to the office and pulled out the salad, the 2 dressing containers & napkins...where's the crackers??? none were ever put in my sack - OK, sat down to eat, opened salad and started mixing with the dressing - olives (same amount as always) were in the salad - i'm like, WTF??? Guess I was talking to the wind..needless to say, won't be going back. I know, this most likely won't matter as I am only one customer, but oh well...live and learn...
